Made by Rise and Recline Ltd, these chairs are designed for those who have difficulty in sitting in or rising from a chair. Fully remote controlled, the chair gently raises to aid the user to a standing position and will gently recline to a lounging position. The Wall-Huggers are a single motor rise and recline chair which only require aprox 4" (102mm) between back of chair and the wall. As the chair reclines, the seat slides forward so preventing the back hitting the wall. Other types are also available.
