Hi, my name is Nick & I am the sole trader of DNH Plumbing & Heating.  I am gas registered & do all aspects of plumbing & heating work.  No job is too big or too small.  Domestic, contract or commercial.

It all started 15 years ago helping a friend who runs his own plumbing business while his work mate was on holiday.  I enjoyed the work and, he appreciated my help.  After several more times helping him I swapped textile dyeing for plumbing!

I served my time as an apprentice and have been employed by Upton & Pegg Ltd & R&T Ltd working on contracts for new build sites whilst also training apprentices.

This involved all aspects of plumbing & gas work which was very satisfying as every house was like a blank canvas.   I took real pride in doing a tidy job, so that the plumbing not only worked as efficiently as possible but looked attractive to the eye also.  So much so that the other tradesmen I worked alongside nick-named me the 'pretty-plumber'!!!!  (As i've not enclosed a photo of myself you can rest assured it was my work they were refferring to)!

As the building climate started to go into decline I decided to 'go-it-alone' as a sole trader and concentrate on domestic work.  Whilst being out in the field with the general public I have noticed the frequent lack of trust which I am ashamed to say is not unfounded.

I have been to many homes particularly to the elderly where shocking work has been carried out at horrendously inflated prices.

I find a lot of domestic jobs I do involves problem solving & detective work which I enjoy & the client benefits by my inquisitivness as, what was perhaps thought to be a massive job, is not!

Also beneficial to the customer I think, is the fact that I am a sole trader as the buck stops with me!
