Any changes to an electrical installation, now has legal implications under the building regulations.

The main issues are;

Certain works needs to be notified to Building Control, (this includes bathrooms, kitchens and new circuits).
The alteration or addition has to comply with Section 2 of Part P of the Building Regulations 2000. 

So make sure your new electric shower is fitted by a qualified electrician.  Make sure it's fitted by Ronson Electical.
